About Hill-Lawrence Corporation
Hill-Lawrence Information and Technology Corporation,
doing business as Hill-Lawrence Corporation, is a closely held, Maryland
corporation formed in August 2002. It is an unlisted corporation, wholly
owned by Patrick Eugene Hill, Patrick Elwood Hill, and David Lawrence.
The office of record is 315 Hemingway Drive, Bel Air, Maryland, 21014.
Currently the company has two projects, the development and
operation of the Web sites
art-match.com and art-host.com.
These Web sites are designed to provide a very economical
means for anyone with talent in the visual arts to start and pursue
a career as a professional artist. The guiding principle in our
development efforts has been to remove as many "gate keepers" as
possible from the career of an artist.
Art-Host is being designed so that an artist
can select from several off-the-shelf Web site designs, and then
modify the selection with simple to use tools, provided by us,
so that it becomes ascetically pleasing to the artist. In
addition, we provide tools so that an artist with very minimal
computer skills can maintain the Web site, for example,
uploading images of new artwork, removing images of sold work,
and changing prices and contact information as needed.
Art-Match is designed as a tool for the
public to use to find art from amongst the artwork of our
member artists. The site is designed to give our members the
maximum exposure possible. Thumbnail images of members'
artwork are displayed on our opening page in panels that
change each time Art-Match is opened or
refreshed. These images are links to a "details page" for
each artist that is linked to the artist's Web site.
Art-Match can also be searched by easy to
use tools. A large percentage of membership fees are used
for advertising and promoting Art-match,
which increases the exposure of the members artwork and hits
on members Web sites.
Important to any new artist is the low cost. We have designed
a complete on-line marketing package that includes a personal
artist Web site, hosting, and promotion on Art-Match
with a complete set of easy to use tools for under $150 for the
first year and even less for subsequent years.
Our company talents include skills in art and education,
professional business management and analysis, and highly
professional skills in computer programing and Web site design.
